5 Tips for Social Media Success

Social media takes up a lot of time that you could invest in other parts of your business, and the returns aren’t always immediately evident. Here are 5 tips to maximize the value you receive from spending time on social media platforms.

Google My Business sets your first impression

First impressions count – and your Google My Business page factors in more than you might think. It’s often the first thing customers see when they search you, and the last thing they see before they call you or use Google Maps to navigate to your business.  You can respond to reviews, post hours, services offered, promote offers, post news, or add pictures and it’s all free(don’t fall for the listing scams)!

Claim your business on Yelp, Facebook & LinkedIn

You don’t have to post anything, but you do want ownership of your pages on social media. The last thing you want is a stranger (or disgruntled former employee) claiming your business and tarnishing your reputation.

Always have an ASK

Potential clients might like your image or message on social media, but if you don’t ask them to do something (visit your website, call your business, order online, etc.), you are wasting a perfect opportunity to engage them and keep them involved.

When posting, use images

Images are more critical than ever these days, and research shows that posts with images had 2.3 times more engagement than those without. We also recommend using images with people in action, those tend to get more attention and make a greater impact.

Have fun with your account

Social media doesn’t have to be a drag. By experimenting and looking at your analytics, you are sure to find a groove that works for your business. In the process, you should be enjoying posting about your products or services to your social network.

Social Media is not going anywhere any time soon, and with new technologies and more people using it than ever before, it should be something you take into consideration.

Save Money by Adding Storage After You Buy Your Laptop

Are you looking for a new laptop and can’t find the perfect one? Maybe you like everything one offers except the storage space? We routinely see markup of $400 or more on storage upgrades purchased directly from the vendor. You can save money and still get that laptop you want by upgrading the storage yourself (or asking us to) after you purchase it – it’s cheaper and just as effective. Just watch out for laptops that cannot be upgraded.
