Have you experienced facial scan technology?

August 18, 2018

Orlando International Airport is the first airport in the US to adopt facial recognition technology for all arriving and departing international flights. This technology is expected to make waiting lines shorter, however, some are worried about the negative consequences. A report from the Georgetown Law Center on Privacy and Technology found that more than 35 facial recognition algorithms showed that accuracy rates varied. This variation depended on race and gender. This technology is also being tested at 13 major airports, but none of them have fully committed to using it for all their passengers. Read more about this technology at Marketplace.com and if you are flying in or out of Orlando International Airport, the media release from US Customs and Border Protection Agency will give you more information.

Will facial recognition technology get you out of the airport faster?
